Privacy statement

1.       Scope

The protection of data and privacy of a client (the “Client”) is of the highest priority for Inspiration Tales Maria Klapsaki, Leimbachstrasse 35, 8041 Zurich (hereafter “Inspiration Tales”). The privacy policy forms an integral part of Inspiration Tales’ General Terms and Conditions (“GTC”). With the acceptance of the GTC the Client agrees at the same time also to this privacy statement.

The present Privacy Policy applies to all business activities of Inspiration Tales and refers to all data which make www.inspirationtales.ch accessible and provide the option to the Client of ordering products. The Client can always decide to opt out of processing of its personal data.

By agreeing to the GTC, you agree that historical as well as future data can be processed. Processing of personal data include any possible use, such as the collection, storage, management, use, transfer or deletion.

In any conflict between this Privacy statement and other contractual terms and conditions, the terms of this Privacy statement shall prevail.

2.       Details on personal and Client data

The collection and storage of personal data is needed in order to provide a better customer service to the Client. Collection of personal information takes place every time Inspiration Tales gets in contact with the Client. Information is collected when a Client:

  • Visits the online shop of Inspiration Tales

  • Buys a product from the online shop of Inspiration Tales

  • Requests customer support

  • Requests to subscribe to Inspiration Tales’ newsletter

  • Takes part in an online contest

  • Participates our market research activities or polls

  • Contacts Inspiration Tales via its website, phone, e-mail or during special events

The type of data that is collected are:

  • Name (first, last)

  • Birthday, age

  • Address (delivery and invoice)

  • Contact details (telephone number, email address)

  • Shopping history

  • Shopping preferences

  • Credit card and bank information

  • Language preferences

  • Subscription to newsletters

  • Website access details (e.g. username, registration date, data modification)

  • Contractual data (type, date of effect, content, duration, party, claims)

  • Purchase details (e.g. time and date, past orders, cancelled cart, payment method, address)

  • Order history (e.g. return of goods, complaints, warranty claims)

  • Visit history (e.g. browser used, language, duration of visit, location)

The data is stored and owned by Inspiration Tales. This data is stored as long as necessary for the purpose of collection and according to applicable laws. The data is deleted when no longer needed and In the case of exceeding the legal maximum retention period or at the request of the Client.

3.       Data protection

Inspiration Tales has taken technical and organizational security measures to protect Client’s data against unauthorized and unlawful access. Any transmission of information via the Internet and other electronic means involves security risks and the security of this transmission cannot be guaranteed by Inspiration Tales.

4.       Disclosure of data

For completion of the order, data is disclosed to trading partners (such as post, logistics, payment partners and credit card companies). Inspiration Tales is entitled to use the Client information for proprietary communications or the like. Inspiration Tales may share the Client’s personal data, if this is deemed necessary in order to comply with applicable laws and regulations, in legal proceedings, on request of the responsible courts or authorities or due to other legal obligations to protect Inspiration Tales’ rights or to defend its property.

5.       Changing or deleting data

Clients can change or delete their own data via their account at any time. In addition, this data may be changed if requested by the Client via e-mail or phone-call to Inspiration Tales.

6.       Cookies

A cookie is a small text file that our website leaves in the Client’s computer, tablet or smart-phone upon visiting Inspiration Tales’ website. In this way, the website can store certain inputs and settings (e.g. login, language) for the Client’s convenience. Cookies are also used for the better functionality of the website (e.g. the shopping cart) and the improved shopping experience. These cookies are essential for Inspiration Tales to be able to provide the service.  Functional cookies (e.g. log-in information) are stored for a short-term, while performance cookies may be stored for a longer time. Most of the cookies used from Inspiration Tales’ website are automatically deleted when the browser session has ended.

In addition, Inspiration Tales may also use temporary or permanent cookies which remain stored on the Client’s device after the end of the browser session. On subsequent visits to the Website the Client’s preferred inputs and settings are automatically selected. These cookies may remain on the Client’s device from one month up to ten years, depending on the cookie type, and are automatically deactivated after the programmed time. These cookies make Inspiration Tales’ website more user-friendly, effective and safer.

The cookies used by Inspiration Tales do not contain any personal data. The stored data of cookies cannot be assigned to a particular person. The Client may control and / or delete cookies as preferred. A Client can delete all cookies stored in his computer and set his browsers to prevent the storage of cookies. In case of not accepting cookies, a Client will not see some information on the Website and some functions to improve his your shopping experience will not be usable.

7.       Other data stored from website visits

Every visit to the Inspiration Tales website generates log files which include information such as the date and time of access, IP address of the device, name of the Website from which you were redirected. These log files cannot be assigned to a specific person and are exclusively for ensuring a trouble-free operation of the website and improving Inspiration Tales’ offer. This information is used for statistical purposes and improvement of Inspiration Tales’ website and service.

Social networks’ plugins are also used from Inspiration Tales’ website, such as Instagram, Pinterest and Facebook. These social plugins let the Client recommend or share the desired website on the selected social network users. The recommendation buttons are provided by the social networks. Upon activation of the social plug-in, the data (including the Client’s IP address) is transmitted to the selected social network. Inspiration Tales cannot affect the data that these social networks use.

In case the Client wants to prevent that his browser sends cookies to other providers, the setting "blocking third-party cookies" needs to be activated on the browser. However, in this case, it may happen that certain content on Inspiration Tales’ website will not be usable any more.
